Job Title: Oracle DBA 10g   

Minimum required years of professional experience: 10 years

Job Description:

* Install, migrate, and patch Oracle databases
* Perform trouble-shooting in Unix and Linux environments
* Tune Oracle database for optimum performance in a multi-tier application environment
* Develop database capacity plan, establish scalability strategy
* Design, implement and maintenance of a database backup and recovery with VxNB
* Design, implement and maintain database high availability and disaster recovery plan
* Deploy database monitoring jobs with EM and home-grown scripts
* Oversee application design, provide database consulting to optimize application architecture, security and efficiency
* Design and optimize logical and physical data model
* Establishing enterprise database security, auditing
* Configure, maintain database storage with VxVM
* Design and maintain database replication and reporting strategy
* Resource management across applications
* Database change management
* Some on-call work is required. Some overtime work is required.    

Tools
* Oracle Certified Professional/DBA
* Oracle RAC design and administration
* VERITAS NetBackup, torage Foundation
* Scripting (Perl, PHP, Shell, sed, awk)
* Basic UNIX administration (Solaris, Linux)
* Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, SSL, NTP, Firewall)
* Storage subsystem knowledge(disk layout, SAN)
* Experience with software development lifecycles, software deployment and implementation processes
* Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products (including Visio, Project, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint)
