Managed Email Surveillance Service provides you with the capability of monitoring email traffic on entry/exit points of your network. The method used for monitoring is totally transparent and unobtrusive to either internal or external users. Electronic mail is monitored by "listening in" on the wire, or "packet sniffing" as it is known throughout the security community. Network traffic packets are being inspected for rule match and selected ones are captured. Captured packets are used to reassemble email messages in their original format, then further inspected for content.
